Small Elopement Planning Service
It started when my friend Justin proposed to my other friend, Jeannie. I was so happy for them! They have a full life that left little mental bandwidth for wedding planning. Justin juggles a job and life as a student, and Jeannie’s a busy business owner. And did I mention that they are new puppy parents to the cutest ball of energy, Hughie?
So I mentioned to them, I am an ordained minister. I’d love to plan and photograph a small elopement in this sunflower field that I know of. They were intrigued and set a small budget for the afternoon which would be lightyears more affordable than a regular wedding, and lightyears more beautiful than just going to the courthouse.
Their only requests were, they wanted it to be pretty, and they like red and orange, but not too theme-y. So I worked together with my friends Natalya and Olga at 3B Cosmos to create an altar. Then I ran around and got the rest of the props for a whimsical picnic. Jeannie picked out a dress, and I let them know where and when to meet.
On the big day Justin, Jeanie, Hughie, and Cathy, their close friend and witness, came and we had a short, meaningful ceremony. We took some lovely photos, and the rest is history.
I’m looking for a few more couples to do similar weddings at a tree tunnel, at a beach, and in Yosemite. The budget would need to be at least $1,500 to $2,000, up to as much as you’d like to spend to make it special. If you’d like a beautiful elopement, email me and I can get the ball rolling so you can focus on your marriage instead of your wedding. <3
